This kitchen remodel added 40 square feet of much needed space to a small kitchen. We were able to add this space without changing the footprint by taking it from an non-functional mud room. The end result was a better layout and improved flow in both the kitchen and mudroom.
However, this project did not come without setbacks. While removing the original cabinetry we discovered a serious rot issue and had to remove and replace 20 feet of load bearing wall to support the second story of the house.
